Selling Online: A great item for selling online, is recipes, and old craft patterns.If you have some great family recipes, and you can type, then type them, and copy them to a CD to sell... CD's are a great way to sell your "family recipe book" and are easy to mail. You can purchase blank CD's in bulk. Or type your recipes onto nice paper and drop in the mail, for customers who don't use a computer.
You can sell online with Ebay, or various free ad networks that won't cost you a dime, such as Free Classifieds from USfreeads!
Ebay will charge you a listing fee, but it is very small depending on your starting cost. I try to list for a few dollars each or less, and sold many copies, which was great for extra cash. Many people who love to shop online, don't think twice about a dollar or two, compared to higher cost products and I have made way more money with smaller items for less, that I could sell over and over again!
But another great way to expand on this, is with the Public Domain! this is where you can find recipes, crafts and more that are out of copyright, and therefore you are able to use in their original form.
I had good luck with vintage crochet patterns, especially for vintage purses and things that are making a comeback. I found these in the Public Domain. I would advertise the pattern on Ebay, or Free Classifieds from USfreeads! and then print it on nice paper and mail it, or put it on a CD, either way it was easy to mail, and I could sell the pattern over and over again!
You have to be careful navigating the Public Domain, and this product which I use, was the best investment I made.
