It is fall here, and there have been plenty of garage sales around my neighborhood.
Everyone is having a good clean out, and this can be to your advantage. After checking completed sales on EBay, I have found that cross stitch patterns, and other needlework patterns to be a good seller.
Garage sales are a good place to check for these. I found a box full of them, for two dollars!
I grouped them together "like with like" for themes, and then listed them, and have done well.
While you are at the garage sales, take a look around, and make notes of things you see for sale. If you don't want to drag too much junk home, just make a mental note to check online for "completed sales" on EBay to see if the items sells or not.
You do this by using the advanced search button, and use your keyword, and check off completed sales.
Another great place to check is "re-use" part of the dump, but be careful you don't get caught up in all the good deals and bring them all home. I like any pattern that is cheap to mail, it saves on too much packaging.. Have fun!
